The hottest event in town this year:
the voting booth.

On June 6-9, #FeedTheChange !

Between June 6–9, 2024, millions across Europe will vote for their representatives in the European Parliament, presenting an opportunity to advocate for Good, Clean, and Fair food policies.

In recent months, conservative EU policymakers and powerful lobbies have opposed green measures, jeopardizing food sovereignty and the planet’s future.

LET’S EMPOWER THE RIGHT LEADERS!

We need EU politicians who promote sustainable farming, local food systems, and access to healthy food for everyone.

HELP US MAKE SOME NOISE:
CHOOSE & SHARE YOUR PRIORITY FOR THE FUTURE OF FOOD

In the Manifesto, Slow Food lays out the key points to transform food and agriculture in Europe that we ask the future Members of the European Parliament to support and fight for.

Choose which priority is most important to you and share it on your social media, using the hashtag #FeedtheChange.

Together, let’s make our voices heard and tell our politicians what future we want!

Place food at the top of the EU
political agenda

I would like the European Union to prioritize food on the political agenda, recognizing its fundamental importance for life and for economic, social, and environmental well-being

Design
coherent
EU policies

I would like a European Union that urgently adopts a holistic approach to food systems, ensuring access to healthy food, supporting short supply chains, and making sustainable options accessible to all citizens.

Use EU funds for sustainable agriculture

I would like a European Union that ensures agricultural subsidies support a just transition. The CAP must reform to prioritize organic and agroecological practices, addressing climate crisis mitigation, EU enlargement, generational renewal, and rural infrastructure recovery.

Tackle the climate crisis by protecting food biodiversity

I would like a European Union that tackles the climate crisis by promoting food biodiversity: climate action should be integrated into comprehensive legislation on food systems

Craft sustainable EU trade policies for food security

I would like a European Union that ensures trade policies benefit farmers and food security by conditioning market access on compliance with EU standards, implementing mirror clauses in trade agreements, and enforcing full traceability of imported animal products
